Deri Llewellyn-Davies
CEO & Founder

When it comes to Deri Llewellyn-Davies, the phrase ‘suited and booted’ takes on a new meaning: there aren’t many men out there who spend their days in a pinstriped three-piece and their spare time climbing the highest summits in the world. Deri loves business and adventure in equal measure and his same motivation underpins both: a fascination with life and a curiosity that always leads him to ask, “Why?”

That questioning is key in his role as CEO of Business Growth International, as he helps leaders in both FTSE 500 and entrepreneurial companies to take their businesses (and themselves) to the next level. With over 15 years’ experience of the commercial markets, Deri knows that whatever issues his clients are facing – from funding shortages to management fall-outs, corporate redundancy to bankruptcy – he’s personally been there and got the T-shirt. And it’s exactly that experience which fuels his ability to look at their business and connect the hidden dots, to lead him to the heart of the issue.

But the real value comes with Deri’s straight-talking truthfulness, which means he puts all the cards on the table, creates a proactive plan of action and holds people accountable so it happens. And it gets results: on one occasion he was brought in to prepare a failing company for sale but instead turned it around and within six months took its profits from the red into the black. This is why he sits as NED and director on 18 boards, advising over 125 companies.

Deri still makes time for his adventures though, and is part way through a self-styled ‘Global Adventurer’s Grand Slam’ - something he came up with aged 30, when an injury gained during an international tournament ended his rugby career. Having completed the Marathon des Sables (the toughest thing he says he’ll ever do) and climbed five of the world’s highest summits, Deri has only two more mountains, both Poles, an Iron Man competition and a jungle marathon to go…though the biggest challenge will be convincing his wife!

Tony Wilson
Non-Executive Director

Tony has been involved in people development for over 20 years. From his tough blue-collar roots in the industrial heartland of the North of England, Tony started his working life in the rough and tumble world of the financial services industry.
A quick learner and observer of human behavior, he very quickly worked his way to a senior executive role in record time.
As a team leader he very soon realized the importance of motivation and people development. As he studied what worked and what didn’t, the pursuit of peak performance soon became his passion and his purpose.
Today he may be working one day with the CEO of a global organization, the next day it may be a young professional golfer with a goal to get back on the major European and world tour. Then he might be off to New York or Dubai or Australia to inspire a group of salespeople or executives at one of his inspirational keynote addresses.
Over the last eleven years, Tony and his team have built ‘Lifestyle Architecture’ one of the most effective business and personal development organizations in the world that makes you focus on what you “GIVE”, not just what you get. His concepts are fresh, his ideas inspire and, most of all, he is real.
