Reason for Engaging BGI.

Adam Day. Founder and CEO.

Hatched was in a cash crisis and funds we going to dry up. Board stresses had increased.

The overall lack of clarity was not allowing Hatched to create a successful business ready for sale. A rapid turnaround and transformation from top to bottom was required.

BGI Approach.

BGI facilitated an environment where everyone could communicate openly and constructively. Communication became progressive and two of the three board members realised they were not following their passion and wished to move on.

Hatched developed a team with the right talent in the right roles. Major focus was put on marketing channels, content and fastidious tracking of our marketing performance to ensure Hatched was driving genuine ROI.

With the right team in place Hatched worked with BGI to build long-term value into the business so Hatched would become highly valued in the marketplace.

The BGI Effect.

Hatched turned around from burning cash to becoming the first UK online estate agency to make a profit. The founders were happy in their new roles and direction. Hatched had aligned teams with clear performance metrics directly linked to the overall strategy of the business.  The value of the business increased and became highly desirable to the sector.

After a number of proposals to be bought, Hatched founders decided the time was right to sell. This ended in a bidding war between four companies leaving the shareholders in a strong position to construct a deal that met their business and personal requirements.
