Neil is a BGI Practitioner and responsible for client scale up. He is a multi-award winning entrepreneur, world record breaking adventurer and a former Royal Marine Commando, helicopter pilot and SAS Officer. He has also founded a dozen businesses, one of which grew to £40m turnover and was sold to a FTSE 100 company in 2011.
He was voted Entrepreneur of the Year in the Sussex Business Awards 2016 and received the Ness Award from the Royal Geographical Society for “Inspirational Leadership” and in 2019 was recognised by Business Leader journal as one of the top 30 Inspiring UK Entrepreneurs.
Neil met Deri, the Founder of BGI, in 2013 and became an active user of our Strategy on a Page for his own businesses as he identified its effectiveness. He's delivered strategy workshops to senior executive groups including the Academy for Chief Executives and Vistage. He chairs Business Support Group where his clients are all coached on our Strategy on a Page methodology. Clients include B&Q, Virgin Atlantic and BP.
Neil is passionate about adventure and has led over 75 expeditions. He has completed the Explorers Grand Slam, climbing the highest mountain on each continent and skiing to both Poles. Neil climbed Mt Everest with Bear Grylls, and was the first person to circumnavigate the UK & Ireland on a jet ski. Neil went on to pilot the world’s first road legal flying car across the Sahara desert to Timbuktu.
In 2018 he hosted the world’s highest dinner party at 23,000ft on Mount Everest, so if Neil invites you for a bite to eat make sure you check where first, but you can be sure to be in good company.
