BGI Practitioner Hugo Tewson


Hugo is one of our BGI Practitioners directly responsible for business scale up. He has tremendous experience having founded and co-founded a number of his own agencies, consultancies and companies, in addition to having worked within many start-up and early stage high-growth businesses as chair, NED, external advisor, interim manager and business coach.  

He originally worked in media, advertising, sales promotion and business development, Hugo built what became the UK’s largest IT portfolio. Subsequently, he co-founded several agencies, software/ web companies, before starting the Chronic Foundation, a not-for-profit organisation, dedicated to improving outcomes for patients with long-term conditions. In this role, he’s worked with a number of disruptive technologies helping develop customer propositions, routes-to-market, partnerships, business and funding strategies.

We’re incredibly excited to have someone with Hugo’s energy, experience and expertise working with us.

Despite being so busy, Hugo still finds time to play touch rugby and coach. If you are ever walking in remote parts of Wales you may bump into him as he is an avid hiker. And when he’s feeling a little chilly he’s been known to partake in fire-eating.
